Children's privacy notice
Pending legal review
This page is a placeholder. The final text is being prepared with counsel and will replace this draft before parents are asked to rely on it.
This notice will explain what information STEMania collects about children, why, who can see it, how long it is kept, and how a parent can review or delete it, in line with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Today a parent account stores only what a program needs to place a child: first and last name, birth year (not the full date of birth), grade and school. It also stores the emergency contacts and pickup people a parent adds. We do not collect medical, allergy or photo-permission information online yet.
Each guardian sees only the children they are linked to, and only with the permissions that link gives them. A parent can ask us to review or delete their child’s information at any time.
